I am delighted to be exclusively recruiting an Assistant Accountant for my award-winning client. The company has been established many years with their employees cited as their greatest assets.
The company operates a multi-million pounds operation serving a diverse client range over multiple industries with further growth and expansion planned, whilst continuing to support a wide range of environmental charities and community projects in the region.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the finance team. There is also the scope for the role to evolve and progress over time.
About the job:
- Assist the Finance Manager in the production of accounts for two business entities.
- Maintain cashbook records, fixed asset records and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and enter nominal ledger journal entries and compile information for statutory returns.
- Reconcile cashbooks & asset registers for multiple companies.
- Prepare and enter journals including cashbook, payroll, depreciation, accruals & prepayments for both companies.
- Assist with the audit process.
- Raise manual sales invoices & cash sales invoices.
- Raise payments for approval.

- Salary £26,000 to £32,000 dependent upon experience
- Discretionary annual bonus up to 10% based on company performance.

About you:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Intermediate Excel skills
