Your new role
In this permanent and newly created Assistant Financial Accountant job you will work within a friendly, collaborative and supportive team of 14 in Finance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with year-end statutory accounts
- VAT returns
- Corporation tax
- Working closely with and supporting external auditors
- Adhoc external reporting under IFRS
- Assisting the wider team with preparation of Management Accounts, quarter-end, digital reporting and expenses
You will focus on the bigger picture, with plenty of scope for you to get involved in the end to end Accounting for the UK business.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must evidence recent, relevant experience producing statutory accounts and either working in audit or supporting external auditors. You will either be part-qualified and actively studying to complete a professional accounting qualification, or qualified experience with significant exposure in your field. You will have a strong understanding of fundamental accounting with a desire to learn and undertake varied responsibilities. Intermediate Excel skills (inclusive of VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and SUMIFS) are essential and will be tested at interview. SAP system experience is advantageous but by no means essential. You\'ll be driven to excel in your role, providing a valuable contribution to a high-performing finance team.

Working hours are 9:30-5:30 Monday to Friday.
