Assistant Financial Accountant

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our fast-paced and friendly Finance Department on a permanent. This role would suit a part-qualified accountant who enjoys working with others, and ideally has some previous experience of supporting month-end accounting ledger close processes and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring month-end accounting processes are performed to deadline to facilitate a well-controlled financial reporting close process.
• Posting accounting journal entries, performing Balance Sheet reconciliations and other financial control activities as required.
• Supporting other members of the Finance department as required, including other members of the Technical Accounting team and the Transaction Processing team.
• Maintaining complete and correct accounting records to support the business’ wider financial needs and reporting requirements.

We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience of a month-end close culture of meeting deadlines, ensuring robust financial control and taking responsibility for the quality of work produced. You will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to solve problems and improve processes. Ideally, you will be a part-qualified accountant, with working knowledge of SAP and strong MS Excel skills.

Working as part of a highly experienced and supportive Finance Department, we will provide coaching for those who are keen to develop their skills and experience.
