Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to become our Financial Controls Assistant.
The location of this opportunity is Swindon - we offer hybrid working where you will work from the office and at home.
What you will be doing
In this role you will accurately check and process data relating to supplier changes, Visa Purchasing Cards and corporate vehicle leasing and hiring, in line with organisational and customers’ Service Level Agreement Key Performance Indicators and delivering timely, efficient and effective administrative support.
The role requires the following;
Supplier Management
1. In line with outlined processes, check and accurately process supplier additions and changes, communicating with stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
2. Apply rules surrounding IR35, Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), Employment Service Questionnaires and all aspects of supplier scenarios.
Purchasing Cards and Cash Expenses
3. Control check and process cash expense claims (including volunteers and non-staff) in line with outlined processes.
Vehicle Leasing and Hiring
4. Maintain accurate records relating to company vehicles (including, but not restricted to, monthly mileage logs, damage, fines, etc.), undertaking financial processes to ensure lease vehicles are paid for, maintained and insured and damage and parking/traffic penalty documents are processed in line with agreed processes.
5. Maintain system access for vehicle hire users, assisting where required and reviewing supplier’s monthly reports for accuracy and updating where necessary.
Administration
6. Provide administrative support to the team (including processing physical incoming mail and archiving physical documentation).
