The Assistant Head of Demand Planning enables UKSV to forecast & be part of the process to bring on line workforce requirements. The function plays a leading role in supporting UKSV by ensuring the organisation has the right people, in the right place, at the right time, with the right capabilities.
The role has a particular focus on workforce data, and the post-holder will own, refresh and deliver the UKSV glidepath and full time equivalent (FTE) requirement view. This plan will inform how the organisation meets its current and future resourcing and capability requirements, by working with our recruitment, training & delivery colleagues to match resourcing requirements with the demand view of FTE. The role will also oversee the governance of the capacity planning & performance review as well as governance of Demand Planning FTE within the Delivery vertical of UKSV.
The post-holder will be responsible for the workforce plan which:
- Houses accurate workforce data Integrates various workforce data sources into a single point of access.
- Provides adaptable headcount forecasts aligned to any required Stabilisation Plan or strategic benefits identification.
- Integrates with capacity views to provide insight & learnings.
- Is informed by productivity, with the ability to make recommendations around resourcing options and capacity performance.
- Work to automate with ‘Data’ colleagues and tie in with the workforce planning side of the department to have ‘one version of the truth’
- To create an IA process which accounts for BAU also works with Transformation colleagues to shape strategic forecasting in the coming months and years as its established. This complex area of work requires frequent collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, ensuring the plan meets organisational requirements.
