We are looking for a proactive, energetic, inspiring leader to join our friendly school team as Assistant Headteacher on South Campus (KS2).
This would be a fantastic opportunity for an excellent, ambitious classroom practitioner, with proven middle leadership experience, to take their first steps into senior leadership. It would also suit an experienced KS2 Assistant Headteacher looking to broaden their leadership experience before taking the next step in their career. You would be a key member of the senior leadership with a responsibility for driving improvement in teaching and learning within KS2. This is a great opportunity to play a significant role in the journey of a forward moving and rapidly developing primary school.
This is a non-class based role to enable you to be responsible for the day to day (operational) running of South Campus and ongoing development of our curriculum. There will be a teaching commitment built into the role in order for you to keep your teaching skills current and role model excellent practice.
We are looking for someone who:
- is an excellent practitioner who can use their teaching and learning skills, knowledge and understanding to help colleagues to improve their practice even further
- has an excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum as well as experience of the KS2 statutory assessments
- is able to lead and inspire a team and hold others to account
- has middle leadership experience with proven outcomes
- is able to champion maths across the school
- is able to, and passionate about, supporting teachers early in their careers to develop their practice
- is research driven, proactive and thinks creatively to solve problems
- is committed to improving outcomes for all children
- actively promotes diversity and inclusion within the curriculum and wider school culture
- has an up to date safeguarding knowledge and the ability to promote a culture of safeguarding
- is committed to developing strong relationships, built on mutual respect, with pupils, parents and the wider community including secondary schools
