Due to promotion, we are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity to become our new Assistant Headteacher/SENCO from April 2024.
Redlands Primary is a successful, friendly school within a supportive community. We are a mid-sized primary school – 315 pupils, which is extremely popular in the area. We are proud of our pupils’ passion for reading and encourage all pupils and staff to see themselves as lifelong learners. Our pupils talk animatedly about the wider curriculum and leadership opportunities they have, including our music provision, playing in the band, visits to forest school in year R and a very active school council. We are an inclusive school, working hard to ensure children from ALL backgrounds achieve to their highest potential.
What are we looking for?
The new Headteacher is developing a leadership team and is seeking a new Assistant Headteacher/SENCO to work in close partnership with.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- An ambitious and inspirational professional with passion, determination and a belief that ALL children can achieve their best.
- You will recognise that high standards and achievement for ALL pupils, helps them to flourish as young people.
- You will be a strong teacher, across the primary phases, with experience in coaching and/or mentoring, who will be able to work with all staff to further develop teaching and learning throughout our school.
- As an excellent teacher, you will be a problem solver, resilient, well-motivated and highly organised.
- You will model being a reflective practitioner and lifelong learner.
- You will have excellent communication skills, be approachable to all stakeholders and be able to lead and manage others effectively, achieving the very best from them.
- You will have experience of leading and monitoring subjects or areas of curriculum across the primary phase.
- You will take a full and active part in all aspects of our school community.
- You will have the SENCO accreditation and lead our SEND provision across school, providing support and advice to the whole school community.
