The current Deputy Headteacher’s departure for a new adventure abroad has permitted us to restructure and create 2 new roles (Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher / Inclusion Leader) which provide an excellent opportunity for each successful candidate to significantly enhance their professional skills and make a real impact on their respective areas of responsibility with increased impact on outcomes.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated professional to join our school.  As part of the leadership team the Assitant Headteacher will have lead responsibility for Inclusion, supporting the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and development of the school, with a strong focus on quality provision for all groups of children.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced SENCo but we are able to support SENCo accreditation for the right candidate.

This is a non-class-based role but with some teaching commitments to support in releasing colleagues.

Our new Assistant Headteacher / Inclusion Leader will:

• Be passionate about education, be able to inspire, nurture and motivate all children.
• Have experience of leading and supporting the professional development of staff which has had a positive impact on confidence, skills and knowledge resulting in improved quality of teaching and outcomes for children.
• Have experience of leadership and management and will be able to evidence leadership of initiatives that have had a positive impact in their current setting.
• Have a proven track record of outstanding classroom practice, and demonstrate creativity, initiative, and excellent organisational skills.
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to work with rigorous systems of assessment and use this data meaningfully to enhance the progress of all groups of children and maintain the highest possible standards.
• Be able to work co-operatively and effectively as part of the school’s senior leadership team.
• Have highly effective communication skills and demonstrate confidence and professionalism when liaising with pupils, parents, governors and other stakeholders.
