Assistant Management Accountant Position Overview
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Support the analysis of financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and trends.
Cost Analysis:
Assist in the calculation and analysis of product costs, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
Conduct cost variance analysis to identify areas for cost optimization and process improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to gather input and develop accurate financial projections.
Assist in the preparation of budget presentations and analysis for senior management review.
Inventory Management:
Assist in monitoring and reconciling inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Support periodic physical inventory counts and inventory valuation processes.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and performance metrics reporting as requested by management.
Assist in preparing financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
Month-End Close:
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
The main accounting software is ENCORE, training will be given.
Sage payroll, weekly and monthly experience is required, within Sage P11D software
Assistant Management Accountant Position Requirements
- ACCA, or ACA, or CIMA qualified. Or qualified by experience
- Must be a UK resident, with a full working visa/right to work
- Experience working in Sage
- At least 3 years accounting and finance experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Assistant Management Accountant Position Remuneration
- Salary dependent on experience, likely to range from £35-40k
