We are looking for an Assistant Property Services Manager (HS&E) to be based in Derby (DE65 6BG), working remotely 1 days per week with 4 days on site (subject to business requirements).
The successful position holder will work in partnership with internal & external stakeholders, providing support and expertise to help drive compliance and contractor management for the business property portfolio. They will also be responsible for controlling budget spend and supporting in wider business projects as well as directly managing the day-to-day facilities maintenance across the Yusen estate.

1. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the Engineering Team deliver their objectives and develop their skills in line with development needs.
- Liaise with all internal stakeholders to ensure the contractors used meet the services required in line with process and compliance.
- Ensure all budgetary responsibilities are executed through good contractor pricing management and good communications.
- Establish and carry out a consistent review of contractors, services, and priorities with key internal site customers, with documented actions.
- Ensure all processes are clear and efficient to delivery compliant PPM activities and R&M
- Support the Property Services Manager and Business in project work across the estate, with particular focus on high-risk H&S compliance.
2. Relevant Experience
- Proven experience in a related role is essential.
- Proven experience of managing a small team is essential.
- Experience in managing contractors & all relevant compliance aspects (RAMS, etc).
- Good level of IT literacy and experience in facilities management systems (Job Logic ideal but not essential).
- Ability to present, understand and manipulate performance data.
- Ability to act as a coach/mentor.
- Strong working knowledge of current property legislation and H & S requirements.
- Qualifications such as IWFM level 5 or above, CDM, 17th or18th Edition electrical commercial, City & Guilds 2330, City & Guilds 2391 (test & inspection), City & Guilds 6035 would be an advantage.
