Our client are a leading workplace fit-out specialist, renowned for their expertise in workplace design and furniture consultancy. They provide innovative and sustainable practices and cutting-edge ideas. Services include office furniture, office refurbishments, cat a + cat b fit outs, joinery & manufacturing, shop fitting, and industrial fit outs.They are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their business.
Duties and responsibilities to include assisting with the below:
* Review and understand incoming briefs and enquiries from clients.
* Liaise with clients to understand project specific information.
* Accurately measure and complete quantity take-offs.
* Compile cost documents to return to the client.
* Work with Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to review and refine estimates.
* Assist in the preparation of bid packages and submission documents.
* Maintain accurate records relating to estimates.
* Place and release purchase orders when projects go live.
* Support the wider team with submitting variations and valuations.
* Conducting cost estimates and budget preparation for fit-out projects.
* Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements.
* Monitoring project costs and implementing cost-control measures.
