The role - Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key part of the Commercial team helping to deliver projects to a high spec within time and budget. You will be responsible for Assisting with the commercial duties on several smaller schemes or one large project and will be reporting into the Project QS & Commercial Manager overseeing the project.
Daily duties & responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assisting in the preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
- Assisting in the preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
- Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
- Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
- Assisting with the preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
- Maintaining quality control procedures.
- Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
Required experience?
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
- 1-2 years post graduate experience
