Assistant Vat Accountant

A new role has arisen with this highly successful manufacturing business.  Working as part of the finance team and with support and training provided it’s a varied role with responsibility for compliance for the business. Specifically this will include:

• Prepare, review & submit VAT returns and European Sales Lists for EU & Non EU jurisdictions
• Code import VAT and duty invoices. Ensure back-up documents are correct.
• Perform sample checks to ensure that VAT is correctly accounted for on all transactions.
• Work closely with financial controller & IT to ensure accurate VAT matrix, rules & VAT rate codes are applied.
• Prepare monthly intrastat return in timely manner (submission only Netherlands).
• Ensure correct use of tariff codes.
• Ensure country specific procedures are followed and all compliance requirements are met.
