Band 8A Clinical Psychologist

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist for a LOCUM contract in partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide psychological support to Adults with Chronic Pain conditions including Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). The service is based within the Preston area. This is a full-time opportunity available for the duration of 12 Weeks with the likelihood of extension. Part-time applications are also welcome.

Pay Rate: £35.00 LTD p/h + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Preston, Lancashire (Hybrid/Flexible Working available)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Contract: 37.5 Hours per Week (less will be considered)
The post holder will work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary Pain Team and provide Psychological Assessments, Group Interventions and 1:1 treatment to service users with complex Chronic Pain conditions.
Key Responsibilities:

• To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing to the patient's formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan and to provide advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management.
• Offer assessment, formulation and intervention to service users within the Chronic Pain and ME/CFS Service
• Representation of psychology within team meetings, psychology consultation, joint working with the wider multi-disciplinary team and the possibility of group interventions within one (pain or ME/CFS) or both services

Requirements

• Psychology Qualification
• HCPC Registration

• Previous experience supporting individuals with Chronic Pain conditions including ME/CFS
