Job description
Reporting to a Bid Director, the Bid Manager will work within a bid team, to produce high-quality, compelling, and persuasive bids, proposals, tenders, and other work-winning submissions. As the Bid Manager, you will assemble and bring together the bidding team for selected projects and take ownership of the end-to-end bidding process while taking instruction from the Bid Director.
As the Bid Manager you be responsible for researching the client, their industry, and likely competitors to ensure the proposal is tailored to their needs. These findings are recorded on our Capture Plan, as well as engaging with client/procurement team representatives as Mitie's lead point of contact. Support presentations, negotiations, and competitive dialogue sessions with client teams to represent our winning bid proposals in the best light. It is the responsibility of the Bid Manager to develop and manage detailed bid plans that outline our approach, schedule, and resource requirements for the activities required to complete each bid.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience and in-depth knowledge of Bid Management, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, compliant, and high-scoring bids in response to new and retender business opportunities, ideally within the Healthcare or Facilities Management sector, as well as excellent leadership skills to brief and lead Bid Writers, external contributors and cross functional teams to assemble data and information for bid solutions.
Strong communication and writing skills are essential for this position.
