The company:

Our client, a leading provider of resort services, has an exciting new job opportunity! They are looking for a bookkeeper to come on board their passionate and exciting team! We are assisting them in their search of a detail-oriented professional to manage the financial activities for multiple companies.
Please note this is a contract position.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily, monthly and yearly accounting activities ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and the accounts are kept in accordance with accounting and tax rules
• Identify any issues on invoices and statements, investigate why or how the issue arose and resolve any of said issues
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, management and vendors via email, phone and in-person
• Create monthly financial reports and statements, adhering to company deadlines and rules
• Preparation of finance statements at the end of the fiscal year and ensure that all financial reports comply with the accounting principles accepted in the state/region
• Assist with payroll for multiple companies
• Complete special projects assigned by the executives to support the organisation’s financial goals

The Person:

• At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience
• Hospitality background is advantageous
• Strong understanding of local and federal procedures and regulations
• Experience working with bookkeeping and payroll systems
• Keen eye for small details with excellent organisational skills
• Someone who thrives in a high volume environment
• Ability to use initiative and work well as part of a team
• Relevant qualification is preferred
• Please note this role is based full time on site
