Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper required joining our client an Accountancy Practice in Dudley on a full time, permanent basis. The chosen Bookkeeper will preferably have experience within an Accountancy Practice but this is not essential.

The successful candidate will be providing Bookkeeping services to a portfolio of clients including Maintenance and Reconciliation of transactions, Preparation of VAT returns and providing support, advice and information to clients.

Bookkeeper Position Overview

• Sales and purchase invoice entry
• Recording and reconciliation of bank/cash/credit card/paypal transactions
• Preparation and/or review of CIS submissions
• Assist clients with any bookkeeping related queries
• Liaise with HMRC as necessary to reconcile VAT/PAYE control accounts
• Posting month end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals and prepayments
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns including VAT schemes

Bookkeeper Position Requirements

Experience using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks is preferred

3+ years of experience in a similar position

Bookkeeper Position Remuneration

Salary £25k to £28k but subject to professional experience.

Hours 35 hours (flexible start/finish)

Annual leave 25 days + statutory holidays
