Responsibilities:
- The production and analysis of monthly management accounts with budget comparisons
- Analysis work (using Excel)
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciliations of control accounts (including debtors, creditors, payroll, VAT, PAYE/NIC and other payroll related controls
- Preparations of month end/year-end adjustments including prepayments, accruals, deferred.
- Income and depreciation
- Bank, sales, purchase, and nominal ledger postings
- The processing and reconciliation of employee expenses
- Credit control
- VAT returns/reconciliation/reporting
- Cash flow reporting
- Managing of client payrolls and pensions schemes
- Preparation and posting of normal ledger journals and reserves.
- Fixed assets and depreciation accounting
- Time recording and billing of clients.
Candidate Specification:
- Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience
- Good time management skills
- Good communication skills
- A methodical and attention to detail approach
- The ability to meet deadlines monthly with flexibility on working hours.
- The ability to adapt to multiple clients’ procedures.
