WE Talent are working with a well respected construction business in Chelmsford, assisting them with their search for a Part Time Bookkeeper to join their team.

This role is supporting their accounts function, working as a Bookkeeper on a Part Time basis. The company are offering either Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, or 3 days a week 8am-5pm depending on what suits the candidate best.
Responsibilities:
- Recording incoming payments and outgoing expenditure
- Reconciliation against invoices
- Logging payments onto the system and Excel spreadsheet
- Setting up and updating contract totals for each job and assisting with job costings
- Chasing payments and resolving queries promptly
- Sending clients monthly applications
- Raising and sending out invoices to clients
- Liaising with clients to create and implement bespoke payment systems
- Preparing year end paperwork
- CIS returns
- VAT returns
- Assisting with salaries and wages for contractors
- Supporting the Director with additional office tasks when needed
Experience required:
- Previous Bookkeeping experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience
- Previous Accounts and payroll experience
- A background working within the construction sector (preferred)
- Great attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work on own as well as being part of a team
