SalaryThe permanent Bookkeeper role in Takeley is an office based role.
Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team whilst reporting to the Managing Director. This position comes with a lot of autonomy as you will help improve financial performance as well as advise key stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Being the main point of call for any finance queries/ questions
- Precise bookkeeping and maintaining financial records
- Accounts Payable (Inputting invoices, ensuring payments are on time and recording each transaction)
- Accounts receivable (Client invoices, credit control)
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and insightful financial reports (eg. Profit and Loss)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
- Additional finance duties: payroll, VAT returns, audits, etc
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience is required
- Exceptional communication, time management, and attention to detail
- Strong skills in bank reconciliation and financial record-keeping
- Ability to work collaboratively and also autonomously
