Job Title: Bookkeeper

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Location: Stansted

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am 5.30pm (1 hour break)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for our client who specialise in the events industry. They are seeking an experienced, reliable bookkeeper to join their driven and fun team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and assisting with financial reporting.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with Xero
• Proven experience in bookkeeping
• Detail orientated with strong time management skills
• Good record-keeping and bank reconciling abilities
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the day-to-day financial processes.
• Ensure accurate recording of all transactions and reconcile bank statements.
• Timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Aid in preparing comprehensive financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all finance inquiries.
• Maintain precise bookkeeping and meticulous financial record-keeping.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Undertake additional financial duties including payroll, reconciliation, and VAT returns
