FRS are recruiting a Bookkeeper for a leading firm of Accountants based in the South Birmingham area.
Suitable candidates will have 2-3 years experience working within an Accountancy Firm & confident with both Sage & Xero BUT the systems knowledge isn't essential! You'll be working in a fantastic office environment that's fitted out with a staff restaurant, fitness studio (free of charge) and chill out rooms!
Duties Will Include
- The production and analysis of monthly management accounts with budget comparisons
- Analysis work (using Excel)
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciliations of control accounts (including debtors, creditors, payroll, VAT, PAYE / NIC and other payroll related controls
- Preparations of month end / year-end adjustments including prepayments, accruals, deferred.
- Income and depreciation
- Bank, sales, purchase, and nominal ledger postings
- The processing and reconciliation of employee expenses
- Credit control
- VAT returns/reconciliation/reporting
- Cash flow reporting
- Managing of client payrolls and pensions schemes
- Preparation and posting of normal ledger journals and reserves
- Fixed assets and depreciation accounting
- Time recording and billing of clients
