Our client, a reputable local service provider, is currently seeking a meticulous, proactive Bookkeeper who is proficient in all aspects of administration to become a valuable member of their team, on a part-time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate outstanding communication and organisational skills. The bookkeeper’s primary responsibilities involve managing the company’s financial accounts, providing accurate information to the Finance Department, and offering support in various tasks within other departments when needed. This is a diverse and flexible role, where the ability to adapt to changing priorities and prioritise tasks effectively is crucial.
The responsibilities:
- Compiling payroll data for submission to an external payroll provider.
- Managing recruitment tasks, including sending offer letters, medical questionnaires, new start forms, and contacts.
- Conducting new employee vetting, such as DBS checks and reference requests.
- Keeping files and records up to date.
- Updating the training matrix.
- Ordering supplies and coordinating with contractors.
- Verifying goods receipt for invoiced items.
- Sending invoices and allocating payments.
- Providing weekly and monthly reports to Head Office.
The candidate:
- Previous experience in office administration, invoicing, bookkeeping, and payroll.
- Preferable experience and/or knowledge of Adult Social Care funding systems and Xero software, although training can be provided.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
