A client based in Uckfield is recruitig for a Payroll Assistant and Bookkeeper This is a We are looking for a permanent full-time or Part-time Bookkeeper/Payroll assistant to join our office-based team working with their own client portfolio.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a practice environment.
- Experience in payroll
- An AAT qualification would be an advantage or equivalent experience.
- Full understanding of all bookkeeping processes including excellent keyboard skills
- Good knowledge of accountancy software to include Xero and Sage or TAS, Brightpay and other Cloud based software.
- A high degree of accuracy is essential and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns, CIS and dealing with client queries and meeting clients on-site when necessary. Management of Sales and Purchase ledgers for multiple clients across a mix of industries and turnovers.
- The candidate will need to be organised, have good communication skills, have excellent attention to detail and be able to take responsibility for their own portfolio of clients.
- Hours to be discussed at interview but a minimum of 3 days per week.
