About the role:
Pan Macmillan are looking for a Brand and Media Publishing Apprentice to join their Corporate Communications team in the central London offices! This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career within the publishing industry at the heart of one of the largest publishing houses in the UK, supporting the Corporate Communications team. You will be responsible for drafting communications and creating content that builds the profile of Pan Macmillan and its brand values, to internal and external audiences including staff, authors, agents, customers, jobseekers and the media. You will be completing the Level 4 Publishing Professional Apprenticeship.

Main Responsibilities:
- Drafting copy and uploading content to the intranet, website and social media that supports our brand values
- Collaborating with teams across the company to create new content for the intranet, social media and website
- Updating the company website with the guidance of the Corporate Communications Director, www.panmacmillan.com
- Maintaining an up-to-date image library
- Asset creation including image and video editing, working with content creation tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
Skills:
- A good writer
- A strong desire to learn
- Creative with an eye for detail
- A demonstrable interest in content creation
- Excellent timekeeping skills
Entry Requirements:
- You’ll need to attend an online interview with our Talent Team and pass initial assessments in maths and English once you have completed your registration.
- You will need to be within an hours commute to the office location listed at the time of your application.
About the apprenticeship programme:
As a Publishing Professional Apprentice, you’ll gain exposure to all key parts of the publishing process starting from the initial conception of a book, all the way through to production, sales, marketing, and publicity processes.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll be invited to monthly 3-hour live sessions hosted online in addition to working on your course content via our online learning platform.
To meet the off-the-job requirements for your apprenticeship, you'll also spend a minimum of 6 hours a week within the workplace developing your publishing knowledge, skills, and behaviours listed within your bespoke LDN Training Plan.
