Job description

We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Executive for a 12 months fixed term contract to support our busy global brand team and help us build the next great family brand.


About Yoto

Yoto is a screen-free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels - think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. We also create Yoto Originals like this one.

Yoto’s Marketing Team

We’re a global team looking after brand and product marketing, acquisition, retention, communications and creative, with multi-disciplinary marketing teams in key regions - the USA, UK and France. We work closely with teams across the business, particularly our friends in the product, web and content teams.

The Brand and Product Marketing team sits on the global team and owns research, brand, product and marketing strategy, global brand and product campaigns. We bring the voice of the customer into the business, consulting across a range of projects including packaging, retail, user experience, and new product development.

We do a lot of our work in-house but use agencies and specialists where needed.
What you’ll be doing:

We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Executive with a passion for strategy and creativity, who’s ready to hit the ground running.

You’ll work with the Head of Brand and Product Marketing Manager, collaborating with global and local teams to deliver market insight, develop brand and marketing strategy, and manage and launch campaigns and customer experiences.

You’ll champion the Yoto brand and support teams across the business in bringing the brand to life through products, services, comms, and other channels.


  • Act as a guardian for Yoto’s tone of voice, brand design and campaign creative both across the business and to external parties.

  • Manage global brand campaigns, collaborating with regional teams and internal stakeholders to realise them on a local level.

  • Support the development and implementation of global brand strategy across the business.

  • Support market research projects to deliver customer insights into the business.

  • Collaborate with internal departments on how the Yoto brand shows up across touchpoints.

  • Employ compelling, insight-led brand and product messaging, working with the marketing team to do so also.

  • Collaborate with our acquisition and retention team to plan media, messaging and creative through the customer lifecycle.


What you’ll bring:

This is a varied role in a fast-moving scale-up, so you’ll need to be a confident communicator and problem solver who can think creatively and strategically.

You’ll be joining a busy team that connects many parts of the business. As part of a wider team, you’ll have lots of support with regular check-ins and opportunities for collaboration.

  • 1-2+ years experience - either brand or agency side. Experience in planning, strategy or project/client management desirable.

  • Experience working for or with global brands either in-house or agency side (bonus points for experience in or a personal passion for start-ups!).

  • A keen interest in consumer behaviour, brands, and marketing strategy.

  • Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.

  • Ability to manage stakeholders and work collaboratively with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A passion for marketing creativity and the ability to champion creative thinking.

  • A resourceful, entrepreneurial attitude, eagerness to learn and willingness to dive right in.

  • Experience working with creatives and/or agencies, writing briefs, managing creative projects and budgets etc.

  • Ability to learn on-the-go, be receptive to feedback, and adaptable to commercial changes when needed.

  • Excited to work within a fast-paced, startup environment where no two weeks are the same!


Contract:
12 month fixed term contract

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 based on experience.

What you can expect from us:

  • Hybrid working with a choice based approach - we would love you to come into the office as much as possible, with a minimum of once or twice a month.
