The Role
I am working with a market leading Broadcast Systems Manufacturer who are searching for an enthusiastic Broadcast Support Engineer to work alongside customers worldwide, specialising in Asset Management and Workflow tool. To be a success in this position, you must have a genuine passion for helping and supporting customers, as well as the business itself.
Responsibilities
- Have a "customer first" approach to providing industry leading customer service with solutions to troubleshoot overcome challenges faced by customers
- Provide troubleshooting techniques to apply solutions to customers specific individual needs
- Work directly with the Account Management team to help reproduce and resolve issues
- Deliver projects that improve support/troubleshooting processes and overall technical support experience
- Create tutorials and other technical articles
- Log reports within SFDC, JIRA and support programs
Technical Skills Required
- Proven experience in supporting Media Asset Management and/or Broadcast Workflow solutions
- Degree qualified or equivalent combination of skills and experience
- Solid understanding of Video, Broadcast production techniques
- Commercial knowledge of digital and analogue electronics and digital and analogue video and audio systems
- Excellent knowledge of Compressed & Uncompressed Broadcast Standards such as 2110, 2022, NDI, SRT
- Knowledge of Broadcast test equipment such as Telestream PRISM, Phabrix, IP & SDI
- Understanding of IP switch configuration and network architecture such as L2 vs L3, PTP, Multicast
- Background of server-based applications and computer networking
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux (Ubuntu)
