Business Advisor

Our client, a Bexleyheath based local authority, seek an experienced Business Advisor, for an ongoing temp booking based in Erith.

Purpose of Job

• To work with businesses and partner organisations to source employment opportunities for registered clients including paid employment, work placements, work tasters and trials

Principal Accountabilities    

• The postholder will be required to bring in a targeted number of vacancies to ensure jobseeker/client needs may be met. 
• To support local businesses with their staff recruitment by promoting vacancies they place with the team, CV matching, shortlisting, organising assessment centres and interviews, including work placements, tasters and trials.
• Develop and foster new and existing relationships with local businesses through a range of canvassing activities across a range of locations and sectors in order to capture sustainable vacancies, work placements, work tasters and trials whilst also engaging employers in pre-employment programmes and increasing employer participation. 
• Maintain existing relationships through regular personal contact, site visits and newsletters. 
• Contribute to networking, jobs fairs, employer events and sector-based open days and organise approved events in order to widen the pool of potential applicants for existing vacancies and work experience opportunities.
