Business Analyst
My client, a leading public sector organisation, is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join their Improvement and Assurance team in Huddersfield (HD1).
The Business Analyst will, supported by the Service Development Manager and Service Director, support the service to identify efficiencies and opportunities for innovation across our processes. The role will work closely with staff across Homes and Neighbourhoods – from senior managers to front-line delivery, in addition to colleagues across the corporate centre – including Data and Insight, IT and Transformation.
Job duties of the Business Analyst include:
- Facilitating multiple stakeholder process mapping sessions to identify requirements and design process maps accordingly.
- Writing up of process maps.
- Supporting the implementation and embedding of process maps within the service.
- You will be part of the Improvement and Assurance team and will play an integral role in our programme of process redesign and IT system developments.
- Analysing our current processes and support the service in process re-engineering – considering problems and solutions, user requirements and finding efficiencies whilst always considering the tenant’s voice and experience.
- Support the service in realising our ambitious technology roadmap – supporting with the current housing management system implementation, followed by IT system replacements across repairs and asset management.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The ideal candidate will be able to ‘hit the ground running’.
- Experience and/or knowledge of fire/building safety and social housing is highly desirable.
- Related professional qualification in, and/or experience of, undertaking business analysis within a large and complex organisation
- Experience of applying structured approaches to identify, investigate, analyse, and communicate complex business problems and opportunities, within a defined project
- Experience of leading the analysis, identification, design, prioritisation and implementation of process and business changes to improve business operations and services
- Ability to present findings in an accessible and easy to understand way to support data-informed decision making, based on user research.
Working Arrangements:
- Mostly on-site due to the need to hold process mapping workshops and meet with multiple stakeholders.
- Full-time hours – 37.5 Monday to Friday.
- Pay rate is £25.13 per hour PAYE.
