Business Development Administrator
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Southampton, Central (No onsite parking)
Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm)
Reed is seeking a proactive and organised Business Development Administrator. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation and delivery of bid strategies, ensuring the success of bids through diligent market research, data management, and coordination of information systems.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the implementation and delivery of bid strategies to secure successful bids, including conducting market research and gathering intelligence.
- Manage and operate bid/proposal information systems, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and support small-scale funding applications and grants.
- Liaise with various departments to maintain relevant and current PQQ information.
- Provide tender support to the New Business Team and ensure all bid deadlines are met.
- Collect feedback on both successful and unsuccessful proposals.
- Lead or contribute to the development of improved internal systems and processes.
- Organise and manage New Business folders, meetings, and diary coordination.
- Contribute to and take minutes at Team Meetings.
- Draft briefing papers, correspondence, and other documentation as directed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of administrative working experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Quick thinker and fast learner with an enthusiastic and self-driven approach.
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
- Keen eye for detail.
