Elevation is delighted to partner with a manufacturer and supplier of children's products in the recruitment of a dynamic Business Development Executive to join their thriving team. As a key player, you will take charge of developing, managing, and overseeing a portfolio of new business targets and existing independent accounts across the UK and Europe.
Role & responsibilities:
- Identify, approach and convert new business targets across various categories, channels & customers
- Maintain and develop existing account and new customers
- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities, customer/prospect contact effectively, and report on actual activity as required
- Plan and manage personal business portfolio and accounts according to an agreed market development strategy
- Manage product/service mix, negotiating within agreed margins and according to agreed aims.
- Assist in the preparation of business plans to develop each account to its maximum potential and conduct regular reviews
- Provide accurate forecast for designated accounts
- Ensure excellent product knowledge and the ability to describe benefits to customers and prospects
- Support sales and marketing activities as required and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised activities such as product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions etc.
- Maintain a good awareness of market and competitor activities
- Build strong internal and external relationships,
- Produce presentations and information portfolios
- Present at external customer meetings and internal meetings
