The ideal candidate:
MDE is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in sales within an energy consultancy or broker. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for prospect inquiries, ensuring timely communication and updates on progress.
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation, driving new business initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing to devise and implement effective lead-generation strategies.
- Identify opportunities for new product/service development for business customers and contribute to their execution.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while actively engaging in discussions on sustainability and Net Zero strategies.
Requirements for Success:
- Minimum two years' sales experience in energy consultancy/broker/IPP
- Strong understanding and experience in the business energy and sustainability sector.
- Proven track record in sales and negotiation.
- Competent understanding of flexible procurement, risk management, compliance, and sustainability.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in IT and business intelligence software.
