Overview:
Brand new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a fully remote, global, Digital Agency, alongside their wonderful global team. Established 14 years ago, the business continues to grow and at its core, supports clients in creating world-leading digital solutions and websites with WordPress.
Based in the UK (remote) the Business Development Manager will report to the down to earth and supportive Global Commercial Director, sitting alongside a wider team. The main focus will be on securing and continuing relationships with Enterprise clients across EMEA, in verticals such as publishing, online media, banking and real estate... to name a few!
The Role:
The Business Development Manager will be based remotely in the UK, and will cover either the EMEA or US territory, targeting exciting, enterprise level clients!
Target verticals for the space include:
- Publishing;
- Online media;
- News outlets;
- Banking; and
- Real estate
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Utilising commercial sales strategy, research, identify, engage with and convert professionals and brands who are aligned;
- Work closely with marketing to qualify and nurture marketing qualified leads to help build short and long-term pipeline;
- Prospect inbound and outbounds leads, working closely with them to understand their challenges and goals to support them through our pre-sales discovery process;
- Deliver qualification calls and demos of end-products;
- Plan and prepare proposals for qualified opportunities by working closely with delivery teams and leads, with the goal of closing and onboarding new clients with exciting web based challenges;
- Pitch our responses along with a pitch team, ensuring that ideas best showcase understanding of the prospects challenges and where they want to be;
- Responsible for developing your own sales micro-strategies, each with specific goals and objectives that help to open up new conversations;
- Scheduling and booking meetings at each phase of the journey as projects journey through your pipeline;
- Working collaboratively with the marketing department to identify industry and sector wide challenges that can be turned into thought leadership and value driven content series to help support you on your mission;
- Utilising insights surrounding your prospects to ensure that you have a good understanding of what’s attracting and converting leads and opportunities to better refine and improve your process;
- Ensure that your data collection and enrichment allows you to source the right contact and role information from our b2b data source;
Continuing to create and build new go-to market campaigns and strategies that help you develop as a sales professional by producing revenue focused results.
Requirements:
We are open to candidates who have worked in a web design, digital, marketing, creative or technology agency / background ideally.
- Experience in recruitment, or in a similar role in another web, digital, creative or technology agency, is most desirable;
- Naturally curious and interested in digital and technology driven markets;
- Goal oriented and able to plan and prioritise the steps that enable and unlock success in the role;
- Experience working within and environment that is driven by realistic targets and has a track record of achieving or exceeding targets;
- Able to clearly articulate thoughts and plans as well as document and manage workflow accordingly;
- Has the ability to challenge and improve ways of working in order to improve personal and team performance;
- Has experience working with sales tools to manage leads and opportunities as well as creating strategic journeys including but not limited to sequences and LinkedIn conversational strategies;
- Must be highly motivated and able to overcome obstacles and barriers throughout their process to ensure continuous improvement.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum plus comms (c. £85,000 OTE year 1, £115,000 OTE year 2)
(Note that the OTE the AOV for the business is £500k - £1million, with roughly 7% commission paid! The OTE figures are more than achievable and allow for ramp up period).
