This is an exciting opportunity to join the Stowe & Aylesbury Vale portfolio, supporting the Facilities team as Business Services Lead. Your role will provide essential administration support to aid the smooth running of the facilities team and you will help ensure our properties remain safe and compliant. If you are organised and have excellent IT skills we’d love to hear from you.
Interviews: Friday 22nd March
The salary advertised is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust’s annual pay review process. What it's like to work hereThe beauty of Stowe has attracted visitors for over 300 years and the wider portfolio includes Claydon House, Boarstall's medieval tower and duck decoy, Long Crendon Courthouse and Buckingham Chantry Chapel. You'll be joining a friendly team and will be based in Stowe's Estate Office at the New Inn visitor centre.
What you'll be doingThe National Trust is a busy organisation and the same is true of Stowe. As Business Services Lead supporting the Facilities team you'll schedule and deliver a comprehensive programme of cyclical maintenance and inspections, you'll have an excellent eye for detail ensuring our compliance documentation is spot on, and you will deliver excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers - logging maintenance issues and following up when they have been resolved. You'll be trained to use our compliance and property systems and you'll have a passion for streamlining and improving processes. Excellent admin is at the heart of this role and so you do not need existing knowledge of buildings, conservation or maintenance but you'll need a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to learn about the work of the National Trust in this area.
You'll support the operational team at Stowe by joining the duty management rota. This requires some weekend and bank holiday working, (approximately 1 weekend day every 3 weeks). Full training will be given.
