Overview:
Supply Desk are working closely with a Secondary School based close to central Southampton, that are seeking a full time Business Studies teacher with some Humanities to start ASAP on a long term contract with the School looking to make the role permanent for the right person. The role will be full time teaching Business Studies in Key Stage 3 and 4 with time allowed for planning and marking. The school are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge in all areas, good classroom management and a really positive approach to teaching and building relationships. The role is suitable for an ECT looking for a long term / permanent role or an experienced Business Studies Teacher. The School will consider unqualified Business Studies teachers or non-specialist Teachers that come with experience teaching Business Studies in KS3 and KS4.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons that facilitate language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
– Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
– Assess students’ language skills and progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and participate in extracurricular language activities.

The School is a mixed School based in Southampton for students aged from 11 to 16 years. The School comes with a ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating and has a supportive SLT that cares deeply for the Schools values. The School is based close to central Southampton and is conveniently located for those taking public transport. This is a school that comes with a Good Ofsted rating from 2022.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or related field (required)
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
– Proven experience teaching Business Studies to Secondary School students
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
