I am currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Halifax (HX1).
Provide an efficient and effective service, working flexibly to support the work of designated teams within a directorate or service area. You will be required to provide admin support to a team of social workers (Children's Services).
Duties of the Business Support Officer will include:
- Maintain up to date accurate information on manual and computerised files, lists and records.
- Produce e-mails, letters, reports and other documentation in line with corporate standards.
- Provide diary management of multiple diaries, ensuring that Service Managers and senior colleagues’ time is managed in an efficient and effective manner.
- Filter and direct incoming queries from internal/external customers where they can’t be resolved at first point of contact and identify and redirect urgent/sensitive matters accordingly.
- Updating child details on in-house case management system (training will be given).
- Be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of meetings and events, booking venues, circulating agenda papers, minute taking, and ensuring any follow up actions arising from meetings are progressed.
To be successful in this role as a Business Support Officer, you will have:
- Working in teamwork administration environment
- Providing a high level of customer experience
- Proven ability to use IT packages including standard Microsoft Office software
- Proven experience of working with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to interrogate problems and follow through to logical conclusions.
This post is full time 37 hours per week Monday-Friday, with a pay rate of £13.69 PAYE.
Meetings are held in Barnsley town centre buildings as well as other offices/care homes across the borough.
