Here at Serco we’re looking for Business Support Officers to join us at Peterborough County Council. Serco Business Support specialises in administration and supports services areas across Peterborough City Council Local authority. We have some exciting opportunities for enthusiastic Business Support staff to join a dynamic team. There are various full & part-time vacancies for administration roles across a range of services including Children’s Social Care, Education, City Services & Adult Social Care.
Reporting to your Team manager, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring we provide Business Support service to various clients ensuring that an effective, efficient and customer focussed service is delivered.
Tasks vary in service areas and we are looking for the following skills:
Manage diaries, arrange appointments, meetings and interviews as required.
First class administration support such as diary management, arrangement of meetings and interviews
Use and maintain accurate records, systems and database spreadsheets.
Provide assistance for visitors/telephone callers.
Produce accurate minutes ranging from action points, to complex detailed minutes in line with client requirements.
Adhoc administrative tasks including but not limited to photocopying, scanning, report collation, filing.
What you will need to do the role:
Bring your passion and enthusiasm and we will provide you with the platform that you need to succeed.
You will need to have experience of prioritising own workload, communicating effectively with customers and colleagues at different levels and adapting communication style as appropriate and hold the ability to process data to deadlines whilst achieving a high level of accuracy.
You must have the ability to deal with challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
To be successful in the role you will need to have strong Keyboard skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word; with the ability to learn to use financial systems.
