Business Support Training Officer

The Fostering Service is looking for a committed individual who can provide a high level of administrative support to join the Fostering Business Support Team. Previous experience of working within a similar environment such as Children’s Services or a Fostering Agency would be an advantage. Excellent business administration skills, flexibility and a keen eye for detail are essential qualities needed for this position.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide an effective service for our Foster Carers, main duties will include:
Lead on organising training for our Foster Carers
To write and maintain our Fostering Training Brochure
Ensure our Foster Carers are meeting the National Minimum Standards required for their training records
Working with other teams and our consortium partners to offer a strong training schedule for our Foster Carers
Room bookings and event planning
To liaise with external training providers and find the best deals for the best training
Accurate data collection
In addition you will be required to;
Undertake a range of other administrative duties to meet statutory service needs. The successful candidate will need to be adaptable and can manage conflicting priorities, timescales and workloads and will have an excellent knowledge of all Microsoft computer programs, particularly word and excel. In return, we can offer a varied role in a friendly team with opportunities to gain knowledge and experience from colleagues and teams within the Permanence Service.
Please note that the role is based at the Woolwich Centre but there will be a requirement for the post holder to travel to other venues and offices around the borough on a regular basis.
