Business Systems Analyst – London – Contract – £500-£700 a day Outside IR35
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading Insurance company in central London for a Business Systems Analyst. You will carry out system analysis or the process of defining the requirements a nd specifications for implementing computer system solutions. You will work with users, project team members, and senior managers in order to describe new or change existing software systems and hardware configurations that an organization needs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analysing customer needs and other data
- Developing functional requirements
- Designing solutions and writing up technical requirements
- Testing and implementing technology solutions
- Conducting research
- Gathering requirements from stakeholders
- Analysing current business processes and systems
- Identifying areas for improvement
- Creating procedures to improve the existing systems
- Assessing hardware and software needs and providing recommendations for improvements
- Recommending best IT practices
- Providing training and support to users
Essential Skills & Experience
Technology
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with Databricks
Industry Experience:
- Must have experience working for a large insurance firm, particularly a Lloyds Syndicate.
Analytical skills :
- Collect and analyse data, understand the data and identify trends to make recommendations to improve the system
Interpersonal skills :
- Communicate and collaborate effectively to solve problems to succeed
Mathematical skills:
- Need strong mathematical skills to understand complex data sets and perform calculations. identify patterns and relationships to make recommendations for improvements.
Critical thinking skills :
- Critically identify problems and potential solutions. Assess a situation from all angles and make decisions that will improve the system
Problem-solving:
- Good at problem-solving to find solutions that meet the company's needs. Identify the root causes of problems and develop creative solutions that are efficient and effective.
Proficiency in office software :
- Proficient in office software, such as MS Office or Google Docs, to create documents, presentations, and spreadsheets. Be able to use project management software.
Package:
- Excellent rate £500-£700 outside IR35 depending on skills & experience
- 6-12 month contract depending no workload
