Their operations encompass 32 certified factories across 9 different European countries with more than 600,000 tonnes of production capacity. As a group, they produce more than two billion packs a year representing more than 300,000 tonnes of biscuits!
There are over 4000 employees in Biscuit International, and the site in Gateshead, a world leading manufacturer of Gluten Free biscuits, employs 230 of those across a very diverse workforce.
They have recently implemented a fabulous LMS system to support training and development within the facility and support culture improvements.

The Role
Are you confident in taking raw data and turning it into dashboards, with self-updating titles? Can you create visually striking charts and infographics to drive home category insights for customers? If the answer to this is yes then we'd love to hear from you! The company have ambitious plans to grow the business over the next few years. In this role, you will collaborate with the Category Manager to support the development of category strategies, enhancing the long-term growth of the business with key clients. Key responsibilities include: 

• Reporting to the Category Manager and supporting the sales team in developing compelling data driven insight with a view to driving long-term category growth 
• Analyse category and sector performance as part of monthly market tracking 
• Provide data in support of category reviews, identifying market opportunities and develop recommendations to align with company strategic objectives 
• Monitor pricing activity across key retail accounts, producing weekly pricing surveys and monthly gap analysis reports in nominated category segments 

The Requirements
The role is pivotal to the successful roll out of our long term plan and will help form a key part in the overall customer sales strategy. Key requirements include: 

• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI, including advanced functions, data manipulation techniques and dashboard building 
• Self-starter with a 'can do' attitude who can hit the ground running 
• Prior experience in a Data Analyst role 
• Commercial awareness and proven experience in analysing data and extracting actionable insights
