ESS are looking to hire a dedicated and reliable chef to help run our busy friendly Community Hub & Café Monday to Sunday.
Experience is required as well as flexible working hours to meet business needs.
Base: - Community Hub & Tearooms (Langport)
Hours: Part Time hours available ¾ days Thursday to Sunday
Pay: Starting Rate - £13.59 an hour (subject to experience)
Duties include however are not limited to:
- Cleaning and sanitising food preparation areas to establish proper hygiene.
- Washing and storing all cooking appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes
- Performing basic preparatory tasks, including washing, and cutting produce, combining ingredients in recipes
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors and wiping walls
- Receiving, labelling, and storing deliveries
- Comply with all food health and safety regulations.
- To complete food orders and keep the kitchen working efficiently.

Chef Skills & Responsibilities:

- Ability to perform well under pressure and work quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enjoy working with others
- Keenness to follow instructions and prepare ingredients according to the Managers directions
- Organisation skills and the ability to keep track of kitchen inventory.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods
- Understanding of health and safety regulations regarding food preparation and storage
- Understanding of how to use kitchen equipment.
- Excellent personal hygiene
