We are seeking an exceptional Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) to join us to lead the digital agenda for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.

As the CDIO, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the digital strategy and capabilities that will enable us to achieve our ambitious goals and deliver user-centred services. You will also oversee the data, technology, and security functions, ensuring that we have the infrastructure, governance, systems, and processes that support our operations and innovation.

You will be a key advisor and champion for a digital and user-focused mindset across the organisation, influencing senior leaders, officers and councillors on the benefits and opportunities of digital transformation. You will also build and manage a diverse and high-performing team of digital, data and technology professionals, as well as a network of external partners and suppliers.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of leading and delivering digital transformation in a large, complex, and multi-disciplinary environment where one size doesn’t fit all. You will also need to have a strong understanding of the current and emerging digital technologies, platforms, and solutions, as well as relevant risk management, standards, and a best practice approach to your leadership.

You will need to have excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will also need to have a strategic and creative mindset, with the ability to translate organisational ambitions into realistic and achievable digital outcomes.
