Significant change and transformation now will ensure a realigned organisation, operating from new headquarters in Stevenage, that is fit for future purpose and agile and responsive to our communities.

The scope, scale and complexity of Hertfordshire requires a dynamic leader with the capacity and appetite to lead a significant organisation and its strong existing team. As well as managing the considerable financial pressures and service demands, there is the requirement to plan effective and affordable public services which meet and exceed Hertfordshire’s ambitions for its residents, ensuring a cleaner, greener and healthier Hertfordshire.

This will demand a leader who will inject energy, pace and innovation across the County Council, the County Council’s key partners and beyond organisational boundaries at a time of disruption and reinvention. Effective stewardship of the organisation and the place remains critical, whilst accelerating the commercial and business-like approach Hertfordshire has so successfully deployed to date to such good effect.
