With a strong commitment to innovation and responsible investing, our client has deployed over US$3 billion across private equity and infrastructure strategies, focusing on projects that promote environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Their mission is to generate sustainable returns for investors while accelerating the global transition to a low-carbon economy.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and execution for their new project dedicated to decarbonisation and sustainability within the international energy sector. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the project, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to support our mission of sustainable growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a key liaison with investors and stakeholders, providing transparent and timely communication on financial performance, sustainability initiatives, and impact metrics.
Lead financial due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships, evaluating opportunities to expand our portfolio of sustainable energy assets and technologies.
Collaborate with project teams to optimise operational efficiency, streamline financial processes, and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining a focus on sustainability and decarbonisation.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and ESG reporting requirements, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning to support the project's growth and impact.
Drive special projects and strategic initiatives aimed at advancing decarbonisation and sustainability goals, including technology innovation, community engagement, and stakeholder partnerships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Extensive experience in finance leadership roles within the energy sector, with a focus on sustainability, ESG investing, and decarbonisation initiatives.
Strong understanding of international energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends in renewable energy, clean technologies, and carbon reduction strategies.
Proven track record of success in financial analysis, strategic planning, and capital deployment across private equity and infrastructure investments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with investors, regulators, and industry partners on complex financial and sustainability matters.
Strategic thinker with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social impact through financial innovation and responsible investing.
