About the client:

Located in Cheshire, our client is a dedicated medical practice committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to the local community. With a focus on patient well-being and comprehensive medical care, this practice serves as a trusted health partner for individuals and families in Cheshire and its surrounding areas.

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday between the hours of 17:00 - 20:30

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
• Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
• Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
• Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
• Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
• Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
• Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
• Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
