SalaryOur well-established CNC Engineering client based in Halifax, Elland are urgently looking to recruit a CNC HURCO Programmer Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to programme, set, edit and operate their VMX CNC HURCO Machine with Ulitmax controls. You may be required to operate other HURCO Machines on site on occasions where necessary.
THE ROLE:
- Produce bespoke, one offs and medium sized batches for various sectors, working to tight tolerances.
- To programme, set, edit, and operate a VMX CNC HURCO machine.
- Work from verbal and written instructions and read engineering drawings efficiently.
- Work to customer deadlines and communicate accurate timeframes to management regarding job completion.
- Quality checking own work against the customer specification
THE CANDIDATE:
- Must have good timekeeping, attendance and produce work in a timely manner.
- MUST be able to programme, set, edit and operate VMX CNC HURCO machines using ULITIMAX controls.
- Experience with using vernier callipers to check own work.
- Be highly efficient with reading and understanding engineering drawings.
THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- GBP15.00 GBP16.00 per hour DOE
- Monday to Thursday 07 30 & Fridays 7 30 (some flexi hours)

- 25 days holidays + statutory
- Overtime available after 39 hours per week
- Weekly pay
- Temporary to permanent (a permanent contract will be provided after 12 successful weeks - depending on timekeeping, attendance and ability to do the job)
