Cnc Machine Operator/Programmer

• To support and meet the demands on production in WC02 machining cell. Working in a busy factory environment within a cellular manufacturing system with operator quality control.

• Ensure that all work is clearly identified with the correct accompanying paperwork/work cards and job orders are completed using an electronic swipe or manually to ensure stock accuracy at all times.
• Ensure that the first off inspection process is upheld and work is processed in line with the company's Operator Quality Control Procedure.
• Follow company's Health & Safety requirements and ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times.
• Ensure that all machine check sheets are completed prior to commencement of work.
• Ensure that the work areas and equipment are clean, organised and safe.
• Uphold housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy work environment.

TECHNICAL SKILL:
Accurate, methodical and capable of working unsupervised to fine tolerances using drawings.
Act as a lead to others working in the machining work centre.
Able to operate & program a three Axis VMC, preferably a Dugard 2000XP machine with Siemens software control.
Ability to understand and react to production demands.
Must have strong knowledge of health & safety in the work environment.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have minimum 5 years experience working as a CNC machine operator. Able to program the machine from drawings in a timely manner.
Able to carry out low level machine maintenance.
Knowledge of Siemens software desirable.
40 hours 7.00 - 4.15 Monday to Thursday and 5.00 - 12.00 on a Friday
