Our client is a well-established electronics manufacturer who is now looking for a Surface Mount Technology Machine Operator to join their fantastic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join to a worldwide company that values their workers and puts them first.

As a Surface Mount Technology Machine Operator your duties will be:

• Load and unload materials onto the SMT machines.
• Perform routine maintenance on SMT machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage the inventory of surface mount components, including reels of components, solder paste, and PCBs.
• Monitor the SMT process to identify and address any defects or issues.
• Operate and monitor SMT machines during the assembly process.
• Conduct visual inspections of components and PCBs to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production counts, and quality control data.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with other team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals and resolve issues
• Handle Moisture sensitive Components

For this Surface Mount Technology Machine Operator role the following experience/skills will be required:

• Experience in Pre-kitting of SMT machines
• Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers
• Certification to IPC-A-610
• Carrying out maintenance on SMT line as required
• Ability to create/ adjust component package checks for SMT Lines (I-Pulse M20 experience an advantage, but not essential)
• Proficient in load placement program and set value checks for SMT Lines (I-Pulse M20 experience an advantage, but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to prioritise own workload

Thee working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am until 4.30pm and Friday from 8am until 1pm.

The hourly pay for this position is £15.00 per hour, paid weekly in arrears.
