Commercial Accountant

Robert Half is excited to be partnering with an exciting world leader in the manufacturing and delivery business based in Stockport seeking an experienced Commercial accountant.

The business operates globally and does business in more than 100 market worldwide. Reporting to the Finance director you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly accounts for commercial and manufacturing companies, US GAAP month end reporting and VAT returns.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts with commentary in a presentable pack to the senior management team for Commercial / Manufacturing and Retail businesses
• Month end processes including closing ledgers, updating exchange rates, journal preparations and posting for Commercial / Manufacturing and Retail businesses
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Weekly bank reconciliations for GBP and EUR currency accounts
• Quarterly preparation of Market Share analysis, Average Selling Price analysis and Rebate calculations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns for all Starkey companies
• Arranging the half year and audited end of year stock take
• Managing of Accounts Assistants
• Collaborating and Supporting UK Sales team

YOU:

• Finalist / Qualified ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Excellent Excel knowledge - vlookup, pivot tables,
• Financial management systems experience (oracle desirable )
• Experience in Manufacturing or Cost Accounting desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast pace environment
