Are you a recent Business or IT Graduate looking to build a great career within a growing business? Are you passionate about data? Our client is looking to hire a Commercial Analyst to join the commercial team in a broad and varied role.
Our client is a public transport company that carried over 50m passengers last year! They have expanded through recent acquisitions and now operate from depots across the Midlands, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and the Heathrow areas and are actively seeking new opportunities through tendered and commercial opportunities to grow the business. They are looking for an enthusiastic, methodical problem solver to join as a Commercial Analyst.
You will work within the commercial team to manage and maintain the back-office data systems of the company and provide accurate reporting for internal and external demands. You will undertake through data analysis to provide the business key insights into sales analysis, route performance, and operational KPI’s. You will also work with the scheduling team to produce timetables and submit legally required documentation to the traffic commissioner.
Main Duties:
Produce regular data reports for external and internal stakeholdersMaintain accurate data reporting to ensure company are producing legally compliant and accurate tracking data to customersUndertake commercial analysis to review performance and trends and to propose improvement measuresEngage with local authorities and other external stakeholders with the goal of maximising service performanceMaintenance of the data system portal (Ticketer) including: actioning fare changes; changing routes; adding new routes, adding or editing ticket products including mobile tickets and smart card ticketsIdentify ticketing or data problems and solve in timely mannerWork with the scheduling team to produce legally compliant schedules, service timetables, and rota imports, and accurate mapping dataWork with finance team to assist with raising invoices
The ideal candidate will have:
A positive work ethic and can-do attitudeDemonstrate strong numeric skillsHave great attention to detailExperience using Microsoft Office and Excel and preferably Power BIStrong communication skillsPossess full driving license (for car)Degree or equivalent experience in Business/Economics/Maths or relevant backgrounds

The role is office based, in a vibrant and growing head office in Tividale. The role is 40 hours per week, 8.30-5pm Monday to Friday.
